ABOUT NIKKI

Nikki Rubin, M.S. CCC-SLP is a licensed pediatric speech language pathologist and the owner and founder of Nikki Rubin Speech Therapy, Corp.

 

She graduated from University of Southern California with an undergraduate degree in Public Relations, with a double minor in Psychology and Business. Nikki continued on to complete her Masters of Science in Communication Disorders at California State University Northridge. 

 

Throughout her graduate and post-graduate career, Nikki has worked with a variety of age groups with various speech and language disorders. She has worked with adults with dysfluencies at the Language, Speech and Hearing Center in Northridge. Additionally, Nikki worked with pre-school, elementary, middle school and high school-aged children with severe cognitive deficits at Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles. She continued her pediatric career at The Learning Grove in Northridge, where she worked with children with a variety of speech and language disorders, then at Speech 4 Kids working with early intervention, preschool and school aged children with a variety of special needs.

 

Nikki has experience working with children with a variety of speech and language impairments. She has worked on articulation, expressive and receptive language, auditory comprehension and processing skills, short-term memory, social pragmatic language skills, fluency disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and oral motor strength. Additionally, Nikki has experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and with low to non-verbal children.

 

Nikki is trained in the PROMPT technique, a multidimensional approach to speech production disorders. Additionally, Nikki is trained in Hanen’s It Takes Two To Talk Program for early intervention and the Lidcombe Program, a behavioral treatment for children under 6 years old with fluency disorders.
